The premiere of “Ghoomketu” will be performed on May 22 on Zee5. The film, directed by Pushpendra Nath Mishra and produced by Phantom Films and Sony Pictures Networks (SPN), will feature filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and actors like Ila Arun, Raghubir Yadav, Swanand Kirkire and Ragini Khanna.
Ghoomketu is a comedy-drama based on an inexperienced writer played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is struggling to make a big name in the film industry in Mumbai. He writes stories of different subjects and tells the producers.
The same, Anurag Kashyap is playing the role of a cop in this film. And when Anurag was asked about his role, he said, “I didn’t have to do any kind of preparation.” I was in the middle of shooting and originally I am a reluctant actor, so the character of lazy man was very easily played by me. And at the same time, I was also the most unfit at that time and it also matched with the character. Apart from this, I have played the role of a cop in my last three outings as an actor, which now also includes Ghoomketu. This character is only different, I am not a rogue cop but a corrupt and lazy cop, who never even wants to be a good cop.
This quirky comedy is all set to confuse, entertain and make you laugh on Eid. The film will be released on OTT on 22 May.
