Anuja Sathe was born on 8 October 1987 in Pune. She was raised in a traditional Marathi family with an elder brother. She spent her childhood in the cultural capital of Maharashtra. She had her schooling in a renowned school Jnana Prabodhini Prashala School in the city. As a teenager she was highly influenced by the theatre and art of Pune which she was closely associated with. This lead her to take part in many stage plays and later professional theatre with the support of her parents.
Anuja Sathe’s successful career in Marathi stage dramas brought her much recognition and acclaim. It also paved the way for her career in the television industry. Among her successful dramas are Shobha Yatra and Uttar Yatra. She played significant roles in these dramas.
