Anshuman Jha is a popular theatre and film actor who was born and brought up in New Delhi. He completed his schooling from Manava Bharti India International School, New Delhi and later went to do his graduation from St Xaviers College, Mumbai from Economics. He then went to Barry John Imago School of Acting wherein he got his diploma in acting. When he was barely of 13 years of age, he shifted to Mumbai joining an acting workshop at Prithvi Theatres. Soon he got the chance to open as a child artist with a play called Jhagrapoor at Lalchi when he barely 15 years of age. In fact, he was the youngest among all the students to pass an acting diploma from the institute.
He then got the chance to be the part of a play called Its All About Money Honey in the year 2002. He then did his graduation from St. Xavier’s College and during his three years of graduation he worked in a different stage shows and conducted many sessions and plays with directors like Quasar Padamasee, Jaimini Pathak, Joy Fernandes, etc. He also assisted the known director Subhash Ghai in those three years of his education in a play called Mr. Kolpert. He then jotted down his own play called Dirty Talk, which was directed by Nayantara Roy. It also got the chance to be presented at the World Theatre Festival in 2010 in Manchester, England. His recent play includes The Boy Who Stopped Smiling wherein he had the lead character.
He then got the chance to work in Bollywood movies doing his debut as a lead actor in a film called Love nooky aur Dhokha in 2010. He then got a couple of movies including Kismat Love Paisa Dilli KLPD, Boyss Toh Boyss Hain, Yeh Hai Bakrapur and Fugly. His upcoming movies include X: Past is Present and Chauranga. Besides, he has also worked with Subash Ghai wherein he assisted the director with films like Back and White, Paying Guest, Kaanchi and Peter Gaya Kaam Se. He also endorsed a number of brands including Brooke Bond, Tata Sky, Pepsi, KBC Teaser, OLX, BigBasket, etc. Though he got any award but was voted as Advertising Face of the Year 2011 by the popular channel called CNBC TV 18.
