Ever since the elections in Assam geared up, the name of the recently won MLA called Angoorlata Deka was seen making loads of noise among the political circles. She doesn’t need any introduction not just in Assam but also in other states of India. She is the former model and actress and now the emerging politician in the BJP camp with her hot and glamour background. She hails from Batadraoba, Assam from where she hails. She joined the BJP in 2015 and was given the ticket for her own area where she belongs. She has done her schooling from her own place, while done has done her graduation from Guhahati University.
Since her childhood, dance has been her passion under the guidance of Barnali Mahanta and she aspired to become the master of classical dance. With her dancing skills, she impressed Chakrahar Deka the director of the institute who offered her a film called Prembhora Sokulu. However, her family being an orthodox didn’t allow her to act in the films. Soon when she did her studies, she got introduced to an actor Seema Biswas, she convinced Deka’s family to allow her to make her destiny in films, which somehow made things easy for her. Soon, she was seen in regional films along with being active in mobile theatre as well.
Angurlata Deka did a number of short films and features films apart from a number of plays for mobile platform. Since past eight years, she has been an active and popular actress of Assam. Her entry into politics was usual story unlike joining films and glamor industry for her, however, getting a ticket to fight against a sitting minister in the state was a big thing for her and astonishing factor for other party workers in BJP. In her party promotion, she impressed everyone with her dancing skills and finally won the seat for the party in the recently held state elections in Assam. She was in news for her glamorous pictures on social media.
