Darlings: New song La ilaaz ft Alia Bhatt is out, Arijit Singh once again wins hearts
After the huge success of Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt will be seen in Netflix’s Darlings. Today a new song ”La ilaaz” from the movie has dropped out. The song is sung by Arijit Singh. The song shows the domestic abuse done by Hamza Shaikh (played by Vijay Varma) to his wife Badrunissa (played by Alia)
The song starts with Badrunissa eating kulfi and sitting near the road. It then shows the bad relationship with her husband Hamza Shaikh because of his drinking problem. In one part of the song, She is seen with blood on her face. The song ends with Badrunissa’s glamorous transformation.
Fans went crazy when the song was released on the internet. one of the fans commented “Arijit Singh’s voice is a blessing to our soul.” Complimenting Arijit, another user said, “Arijit is a great singer and he is still winning hearts with his new songs”. Another one wrote, “This movie is going to be a huge success for both Alia and Vijay. My expectations are high for this movie.”
The song is written by Gulzar and composed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
When asked about the song Vishal said, “Darlings is a unique film that deals with multiple strong and delicate emotions- and the songs in the film had to emulate the same. With La Ilaaj, we have attempted to create something soulful and fresh and I truly hope it resonates with audiences.”
Meanwhile, Darlings is scheduled to release on Netflix, on August 5. Along with Alia Bhatt, Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah will also share the screen.
