According to reports, WhatsApp chats between Panday and Aryan Khan revealed discussions about cannabis (ganja) procurement a day after multiple teams of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided Shah Rukh Khan’s Bandra residence and actor Ananya Panday’s Khar West residence in the Mumbai cruise drugs bust case.
TV9 Bharatvarsh said that Aryan Khan had asked actress Ananya Panday to arrange for ‘ganja,’ citing sources in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). He allegedly asked, “Did you arrange for the ganja?” Ananya Panday responded by assuring Khan that she will make the required arrangements. According to TV9 Bharatvarsh, the actress later stated that she was joking.
Between 2018 and 2019, the two were said to have discussed the purchase of ganja on three separate occasions. The supply was exclusively for Aryan Khan on two instances and for a general get-together on one occasion, according to NCW sources. According to the report, Aryan Khan gave Ananya Panday the phone numbers of narcotics dealers.
Data from phones and laptops seized from the actress’ home yesterday will be recovered by the NCb. Panday was summoned to the NCB’s office today (October 22) in connection with the tumultuous Whatsapp chats. The actress will be questioned about her conversations, drug use, and supply. The New Indian, on the other hand, said that no such discussions had been recovered.
The raids on Shah Rukh Khan and Ananya Panday’s homes came after NCB teams raided homes in Mumbai’s Andheri neighbourhood on Thursday, acting on a tip from one of the narcotics suspects. On Thursday, an NCB team arrived at Shah Rukh Khan’s home hours after he paid a visit to his son Aryan Khan in the Arthur Road jail. According to an NCB official who was part of the team that went to SRK’s house, they went there to provide a formal notice that any other electronic equipment owned by Aryan Khan must be handed over to the NCB for inspection.
