This name is a popular one when it comes to comedy. Yes Ali Asgar is fondly known as Dadi for his exceptional character playing in Kapil Sharma’s comedy show Comedy Nights With Kapil at Colors. He hails from Mumbai and was born and brought up at this place only. He started working early in various films and TV serials for his sustenance but rose up for instant comic style and cool acting skills. He has worked in a number of movies and TV serials in both serious and comedy roles. His comic roles have even led him win the award at Comedy Circus season one wherein he was seen in the series of Kashif Khan and found with Kapil Sharma at Comedy Circus Ke Taansen. His role at Ekta Kapoor’s serial Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki while playing the character of Kamal Agarwal.
Wiki : Ali Asgar started working early as child artist and his first TV serial was Ek Do Teen Char telecasted in 1980’s over Doordarshan. He was among the four kids who were amateur detectives who worked against social evils and other similar stuff. He is known to share his height of 5 feet and 3 inches in a number of TV shows and programs especially in comedy shows. He has done a number of TV serials, which turned out popular including Dil Vil Pyar Vyar wherein he was seen in the character of an engineer along with Vishal Kotian and Swapnil Joshi. And as said above, his another popular character was Kamal Aggarwal from Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. He then was seen in Comedy Circus in different reasons leading even a prize in its first season with Kashif Khan of Pakistan beating the other popular comedy pair Swapnil and VIP. He was even seen in Sab TV show called FIR as inspector Raj Aryan but soon left as he was seen as a main anchor of Shaadi 30 million ki. He then became a regular actor at Sab TV wherein he was seen in another popular comedy show called Jeannie Aur Juju. Currently, he is seen in the character of Dadi in the popular Color TV show called Comedy Nights with Kapil.
He has worked in a number of films in the role of comedy and other roles including Tee Maar Khan, Sunday, Agneepath, Do Knot Disturb, Partner, Shorkut, etc. He was awarded in different award shows including Indian Television Academy Awards in the category of Best Actor Supporting Role as Daadi in Comedy Nights with Kapil, Indian Telly Awards in 2013 as Capgain Vikaram Khanna in Jeannie Aur Juju, etc. He still seems to work with same vigor and passion as Dadi and other character assigned for comedy and other serious roles in both TV and Films.
