Akshay Kumar to reduce 30-40 percent of fees after delivering repeated flops? Here’s what the actor said
Akshay Kumar, the ‘Khiladi’ of Bollywood, has given numerous hit films one after another. However, this year wasn’t any special for the actor. So far in the year 2022, four of Akshay’s films have been released in theatres, including Bachchan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Rakshabandhan and Ramsetu. Three films have proved to be flops and the condition of Ram Setu at the box office was also bad. For this reason, he has come under the target of the people.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar recently spoke about his fees, and it seems like the actor is planning to reduce his fees. Yes, you read it right! We all are aware of what Bollywood has faced after theatres opened post-pandemic. Filmmakers are urging their actors to decrease their fees to compensate for the loss that occurred in their flop movies. While many actors planned to slightly decrease their fees, Akshay Kumar is also planning o do the same.
Akshay Kumar said THIS in his latest interview
In a recent interaction with the media, Akshay Kumar attended a media event in which the actor spoke openly about his films’ facing failure. Akshay said, “I want to start in a completely different way and that is what I have started doing…we have to understand what the audience wants. There are many more factors. This is not something that only actors can do…but producers and theatre owners also have to think about it. Personally, I have to reduce my fees by 30-40%. Similarly, theatre owners have to understand the same.”
As per social media reports, the makers have neglected Akshay Kumar during his difficult times. Meanwhile, reports broke that Kartik Aryan had been cast in Hera Pheri 3. Kartik Aryan will take on the role of Raju in the much-awaited third season. This announcement came as a shock to Akshay’s followers. However, Akshay has also commented on this.
Akshay’s clarification on not doing Hera Pheri 3
The film was offered to Akshay Kumar previously, but he did not like the script. He also expressed dismay for not being able to complete the movie and expressed dissatisfaction with the way things are evolving.
