Akshay Kumar may take up the Sankaran Nair’s biopic; in conversation with Karan Johar

Recently filmmaker Karan Johar released a statement announcing a film based on the iconic courtroom battle that Sankaran Nair fought against the British Raj to uncover the truth about the Jallianwallah Baug massacre under his production house Dharma Productions.

The filmmaker while announcing the film said in the statement, “Sankaran Nair’s bravery ignited freedom struggle across the country and is a testament to the power of fighting for truth.”

The filmmaker also assured the audience that he will be announcing the star cast soon. Now according to the reports, Akshay Kumar has been in talks with Karan Johar and director Karan Tyagi for the project. “It has all the elements that an Akshay Kumar film is known for and AK is definitely their first choice for the project. While a couple of meetings have already taken place, the paperwork is yet to be done,” Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying.

The report also revealed that Akshay already liked the script, The source added, “Akshay has loved the script and the idea of this film, but his only issue is the timeline of shoot. His diary is packed for the next 1 year and is working out on the date diary before committing to the project.”

Well, if all goes well then it would be exciting to see Akshay in a courtroom drama after his 2017 released Jolly LLB 2.
