Half Girlfriend Review : Film has nothing interesting to catch

Half Girlfriend

Half Girlfriend Plot : Chetan Bhagat who is known as the man of the masses and the headache of the rest is back to leave his audiences enthralled with yet another movie being made on his novel called Half Girlfriend. It seemed to be yet another big screen adaptation of yet another bestseller of his. Talking about the plot of the film, it has a student called Madhav Jha (Arjun Kapoor) comes from Bihar and is from vernacular background. He comes to Delhi University to do his graduation and obtain his seat in the prestigious college of the National Capital when he comes across a high profile English speaking girl Riya Somani playing by Shraddha Kapoor. He woos the lady till she comes in touch with her to become his half girlfriend. Love blossoms between the two till they separate and witness too many roller coaster in their relationship till they find thing go beyond their capacity. So, what happens at the end is interesting to catch.

Half Girlfriend Review : alf Girlfriend is an Indian romantic drama film based on the novel of the same name written by Chetan Bhagat. So, the entire country knows the plot of the film, however, the film still has some twists and turns that are being added by the filmmaker Mohit Suri. Now talking about the film, it takes the usual road as shown in the novel except the fact that the writer himself is present in every novel he has written so that’s the chance obviously we get to see. There is nothing much to talk about in this film as much of the stuff is being copied from the novel itself.

So while you list your reasons to go watch or not watch his Half Girlfriend in the theatres, we take a look at the points in the book that better not make it to the screen. You will barely find any kind of newness or uniqueness in the movie, however, for the people who are not aware of the story and the novel can be a good catch. Now, talking about the performances in the film, none of the characters seemed impressive. The character played by Arjun seemed half baked and it seems that he has not worked hard to enter in it. Then comes the lady who seemed better than Arjun of course yet fails to make a mark over it. The music is okay and so are the songs, wish Mohit Suri has put more efforts the film could had some other class.

Half Girlfriend Last Word

The entire country that has the access of Mr. C Bhagat’s book will barely think of catching up the film. The movie has less of the goodies and more of the trivial things, which together makes not much difference. In terms of music and performance, the film has less stuff to tell, which gives a low review for the same.
