Akshay Kumar breaks his silence on his consecutive flops
Things aren’t exactly going well for Akshay Kumar at the box office following the success of Sooryavanshi. Many refer to him as Bollywood’s hit machine and promise Kumar, but his back-to-back disasters have shocked the producers and exhibitors. The actor has finally spoken up about his string of failures after having to endure a lot of internet bullying.
For those who are unaware, Akshay has already had three movies released in 2022. All three of his movies—Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, and Raksha Bandhan—were failures. In reality, because of the severity of the losses they endured, the first two movies are regarded as catastrophes. His latest films’ dismal reviews have led to social media mocking, with many labelling him a conceited actor who only takes the money away from the producers and gives each movie an average performance.
Akshay Kumar has now spoken up about his previous failed performances.
Alongside Rakul Preet Singh, he was present at the premiere of the Cuttputlli trailer for his forthcoming movie. Akki was asked about his box office flops while dealing with the media, and his response is currently winning over hearts everywhere.
Akshay Kumar said, “If my films are not working, it is our fault, it is my fault. I have to make the changes, I have to understand what the audience wants. I want to make changes, I want to dismantle my way of working and think what kind of films I should be doing. Nobody else is to be blamed but me.”
The Raksha Bandhan actor also said, “It is not safe, that also requires people to say if they like the trailer or not. Nothing is safe, it is not our safety net. Even here (on OTT) people are watching, the media is watching it, the critics are watching it, the audience is watching it, they give feedback whether they like it or not. So, there’s nothing like creating a safe space, you have to work hard, period.”
