Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi are set to amuse their fans with their much awaited collaboration. The two previously announced their film Selfiee which is an official remake of Malayalam blockbuster Driving License starring Prithviraj Sukumaran Suraj Venjaramood. The film was released in 2019.
Akshay’s first collaboration with Emraan will be Selfiee, which also stars Diana Penty and Nushratt Bharuccha in pivotal roles. Pinkvilla has learned that while Akshay will play a superstar in this suspense thriller, Emraan will play a cop who is also a big fan of Khiladi.
“The film is an ego battle between the two powerful, which keeps the audience on the edge of their seats,” the source was quoted as saying .
Selfiee’s release date has finally been revealed, and it is set to hit theatres on February 24, 2023. The creators issued an official statement, which read, “Dharma Productions, Prithviraj Productions, Magic Frames, and Cape of Good Films’ previously announced ‘Selfiee’, starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi along with Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha will now release on February 24, 2023.” Raj Mehta of Good Newwz and JugJugg Jeeyo fame is directing the drama-comedy. Selfiee is produced by Johar’s Dharma Productions, Kumar’s Cape of Good Films, and Sukumaran’s Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames, as well as Sukumaran’s Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames.
Meanwhile, Apart from Selfiee, Akshay has a number of intriguing projects in the works. He is preparing for the release of Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan. Bhumi Pednekar, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth also star. It is set to be released in theatres on August 11, 2022. Following that, he has Ram Setu, OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2, and the yet-to-be-titled Soorarai Pottru remake. Emraan, on the other hand, will appear in Tiger 3 with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, which will be released next year.
