Akira First Day Opening Collection :
Today at B Town, it was a solo release affair, which came in the form of Akira. However, despite the solo release, the makers failed to mobilize the best at the box office. The film had managed to get only mixed reviews for most of critics and secondly if you check at the way the film was promoted it turned out to be a mediocre show giving not much to the film.
Now, if you check the way the film has performed on the first day, Akira could only get a poor response in the morning shows at the Box Office. The movie opened up with the occupancy of around 15 to 20 percent in most of the theatres; however, with the evening shows the occupancy report went to become a bit better yet it failed to give a decent figure to the Sonakashi Sinha starrer film.
As per reports, the first day box office collection for Akira tolled to around 3.5 crores, which is less than the expected. However, the experts feel that the film has the potential to witness a good surge in the coming first weekend provided it could garner a positive word of mouth buzz by the audience catching up the movie.
Considering the mixed reviews but backed with a decent performance of Sonakshi Sinha from an actress of bubbly roles to the ones with action, the film is likely to get the right word of mouth buzz in the media. This way one can expect a decent collection as the film finishes its first weekend. On the other side, the unknown films releasing this day like Yea Toh Two Much Ho Gaya and Island City, there is nothing much to worry about as they were seen falling flat on the ground with meager collections.
