Confirmed: Jackie Shroff Roped in For Sooryavanshi with Akshay
Just when Akshay Kumar talked about wrapping up his cop drama film Sooryavanshi on his Twitter Handle, he barely knew that he has few more scenes to shoot. Well, as per the latest, the veteran actor Jackie Shroff has been brought on the board and Akki now has a few scenes to shoot with the sassiest actor of B Town. Yes, you heard it right, the Happy New Year antagonist will be working with Rohit Shetty.
Interestingly, he has even worked with Rohit’s father who has been the known action choreographer popularly called Shetty in Tinsel Town. While talking about this union with Rohit, he said he is pleased to be in the film and respected his father a lot for his committed work. Talking about the role, he said he would be seen playing a cop but did not disclose about the role for obvious reasons. He called Rohit to be the son of the soil and added that he knows his work and he loves him for this.
The film has completed all its shooting schedules, however, with Jackie being the part of the film now, we would see Rohit Shetty shooting with him soon. Sources close to the makers claim that Rohit had shot a few scenes with him Ooty with Abhimanyu Singh who is playing the negative role in it. Jackie’s role has an interesting story to tell in the film, which came a surprise to many. Perhaps, he will have some scenes with Akki as well. The film is releasing on 27th March 2020, while it has Katrina Kaif in the leading lady’s role.
