Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Ponniyin Selvanis is yet another addition to the magnum opus nothing new
Finally, the long-awaited trailer for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan staring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been dropped. The trailer was revealed at a big audio launch event in Chennai by the film’s producers.
The trailer is over three minutes long and is made up of multiple larger-than-life frames. The trailer, voiced by Kamal Haasan, explains the story of the Chola dynasty and introduces viewers to the film’s many characters. Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, Jayram Ravi, Prakash Raj, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the video, which begins with a long shot of a large kingdom.
The trailer also depicts numerous fight sequences as well as the kingdom’s wealth. In several scenes, actors Vikram, Karthi, and Jayram Ravi engage in combat while a few of the film’s numerous characters occasionally speak. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gazes at an empty throne as the video comes to a conclusion.
In the movie, Jayram Ravi plays the title character, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays a dual role, and Vikram plays Aditya Karikalan. Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Prakash Raj also star in the film.
Ponniyin Selvan is written by Mani Ratnam, Elango Kumaravel, and B. Jeyamohan, and directed by Mani Ratnam. The Ponniyin Selvan novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy, published in 1955, served as the inspiration for the movie, which is being made by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. The soundtrack for the movie is given by AR Rahman.
Ponniyin Selvan was planned to be a one part movie, but it was later divided into two parts.
The first instalment of the film is scheduled to hit theatres on September 30 in five languages: Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
