After Naagzilla, Mahaveer Jain & Mrighdeep Singh Lamba Eye Kartik Aaryan for Munna Bhai-Style High-Concept Comedy
Kartik Aaryan, one of today’s most popular actors, celebrates his birthday today, riding high on the massive success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in 2024. With audiences eagerly awaiting his upcoming projects, Kartik is set to close 2025 with a bang through Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, co-starring Ananya Panday. In 2026, he will star in Anurag Basu’s passionate love story alongside Sreeleela, followed by the fantasy comedy Naagzilla. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films—with Mrighdeep Singh Lamba as a partner—Naagzilla features Kartik as a shape-shifting naag.
Bollywood Hungama has learned that if all goes well, Kartik will soon reunite with Mahaveer Jain and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba for another film.A source revealed, “Mahaveer Jain and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba are planning one more film with Kartik. Like Naagzilla, this will be a novel, high-concept comedy in the vein of Munna Bhai MBBS. Both producers believe Kartik’s versatility and charm make him the perfect fit to lead this upcoming project.”
The source added, “Working with Kartik on Naagzilla has been a great experience for both Mahaveer Jain and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. They appreciate his sweet, jovial nature and strong work ethic. Their fondness for him motivated them to approach Kartik for their next film.”
Mahaveer Jain’s impressive filmography includes Uunchai (2022) with Rajshri Productions, the international thriller White featuring Siddharth Anand and Vikrant Massey as Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming Yeh Prem Mol Liya starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, and a spiritual action thriller starring Tiger Shroff, directed by Ram Madhvani of Neerja fame.
