Plot:

Fawad Khan, the prince charming of ‘Khoobsurat’ is said to have grabbed a wonderful and meaty project with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Leading filmmaker of the time, Karan Johar has signed Fawaad for the next directorial venture and is seen to be playing boyfriend of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the movie. Fawad had his debut with Sonam Kapoor in the movie ‘Khoobssurat’ that made sure his entry and getting firm foot in the Bollywood space due to his poise acting. Also, he is said to have bagged the best male debut at award events for his acting.

Karan is stated to have been very highly impressed with the acting of Fawad in ‘Khoobsurat’ and had casted him in the forthcoming venture Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The movie is said to star Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor playing an important role. Karan Johar had noticed the interesting chemistry between Ranbir and Anushka in the movie ‘Bombay Velvet’ and was impressed with it, and brought them together in this movie.

When speaking about the movie’s theme, Karan Johar stated that this movie dwells deeply upon heartbreaks, relationships and how loves helps to complete the person, defines him and yet leaves him wanting for more. He furthermore commented that never in his entire career, had a movie come to him so quick, organically and from within.

Karan had always desired to work along with Aishwarya, however, things could not work out properly. He had wanted her to be casted in ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ and ‘Kuch Kuch sizzlinga Hai’, however, Ash was not available at that point of time for specific reasons of her own.

It is in this movie that Anushka and Aishwarya would be noticed working together in this movie. At an interview, Anushka stated that she was quite happy to have Aishwarya to be in the movie.
