Ae Dil Hai Mushkil & Shivaay 1st Week Box Office Report
The Karan Johar movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is clearly a winner as far as the first week collection is concerned. The film is doing well not just on the first day but has continued to do better after its week’s release. Now, the film is settling down with its collection closing to the hundred crore club. And if you had the overseas collection, it has already entered into the prestigious 100 crore club for sure.
As per reports, the first week box office collection for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, it has tolled to around 80.91 crore, which means it has beaten up the lifetime collection of films like Neerja and Baaghi and of course the earlier film of Karan Johar called Kapoor & Sons. On the other side, the film is however, is getting a stiff competition from the other movie called Shivaay. Now, let us look at this release, which seems to go smooth.
Well, Shivaay has managed to hold very smart on its first week as well. Though it dipped in the midst of the first weekend, but it soon turned up scoring well over the box office. Well, if you check the first week box office collection of Shivaay it tolled to around 70.41 crores. This has therefore ensured that now all eyes are on the film to score more on the second weekend. Since the film is targeted more for the single screen considering the massy stuff it has, hence the makers now are focusing on this direction only.
In a sense, the film is likely to give a good competition to the other release called Ae Dil Hai Mushkil especially if you look at the single screens. Right now one can see the two films collections are getting divided more or less equally over the box office, but as we see Ae Dil Hai Mushkil scoring better over the multiplexes, hence its collection has to be obviously high. And mind it, the week belongs to Diwali wherein in Multiplexes the rates remain steadily high during all the days, which is not the case in single screens.
