Adipurush: Netizens call for film’s boycott on social media, say, ‘Bollywood Ka Hanuman is a Musalman’

Adipurush starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan is constantly facing issues after the release of its teaser on October 2. After watching the teaser of Om Raut’s film, Fans are criticising the film for terrible VFX and Saif Ali Khan’s Islamic look in the movie specifically. They have also raised their disappointment with the appearance of other cast saying it doesn’t match the characters of Ramayana.

Just like movies Laal singh Chaddha, Raksha Bandhan, Brahmastra, and others, the next film facing the issue is Adipurush, as #BoycottAdipurush is spreading like fire on social media just a couple of days after its teaser was unveiled.

The netizens have claimed that Ravana and Hanuman’s appearance in the film looks Islamic. A Twitter user wrote, “Bollywood’s Hanuman looks like a Musalman #BoycottAdipurush.” Another user tweeted, “In #Adipurush Hanuman Ji Look Is So Different. #Urduwood Changed Hindu Gods into Molana.”

Adipurush film’s portrayal of Hindu gods also disappointed Madhya Pradesh Home Minister

Madhya Pradesh’s Home minister Narottam Mishra shared his disappointment and anger with the incorrect depiction of Hindu gods in this movie yesterday.

He stated, “Hanuman is seen wearing leather clothes even when his entire appearance s defined in Hanuman Chalsa.”

“The teaser also has some distasteful scenes which hurt religious sentiments. I am writing the filmmaker OM Raut asking him to cut these scenes. If he disagrees, we will definitely take legal action against him,” he further quoted.

Well, the makers of Adipurush have invested a whopping amount in its VFX. As per reports, the film has been created on a budget of around Rs. 400 crores. From this big amount, most of the money has been spent on VFX. However, the final product has left the viewers disappointed.
