Abhishek and Ajay to Reunite On-Screen After Long 7 Years

Long back in the year 2012, Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn co-starred in Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan and now, after seven long years, the duo will once again be reuniting for their upcoming Bollywood project. The actors are all set to share screen space with each other once again. As per a report shared by a major media house, Abhishek and Ajay will be joining hands for an upcoming drama film that is being helmed by Kookie Gulati. Kookie Gulati and Ajay Devgn have had a previous collaboration working together for Total Dhamaal.

However, it has also been reported that the team is still seeking a suitable fit for the female lead to cast opposite Abhishek Bachchan.

As per a source revelation, it has been known that the pre-production for this untitled-project has already begun and the reiki for same is also scheduled to begin soon. As far as the story is concerned, it is said to be based on a real life occurrence that took place between 1999 and 2000 and changed the “financial fabric” of the country. Illeana D’cruz has been signed up as the female lead for the film. She is supposed to be paired opposite Ajay Devgn however; the other female lead to cast opposite Abhishek Bachchan is still on a search.

Apart from this, Ajay Devgn is currently busy working on Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ which is an Akshay Kumar-starrer. This film is known to expand the director Rohit Shetty’s “cop universe” in Bollywood. It is also going to feature Ranveer Singh in a cameo. He is also known to be shooting for Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride of India which also includes Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Parineeti Chopra. The film is reported to go on floors by the end of the year.

While, Abhishek Bachchan has already been cast for Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming anthology film.
