Veteran actor Aamir Khan is known for his perfection. He has his own ways to evaluate the scripts. He actually takes the characters quite seriously and works hard for it. We salute him for his rebellious character in ‘Rang De Basnti’ and how can we forget the calm and passionate teacher from ‘Taare Zameen Par’. He has created a mark through his work. He chooses his movies carefully. Well, this time he is working on the remake of classic Tom Hank’s Forrest Gump that is titled as Laal Singh Chaddha. The movie finally got a release date and it will hit theatres by Christmas 2020. Surely, it will be an exciting project.

The movie is produced by Aamir Khan Productions along with Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Advait Chandan is directing the film and Atul Kulkarni is working as a scriptwriter. Initially, the project was announced in March on occasion of Aamir’s 54th birthday. During a recent interaction, he shared, “My next film is finalized it is called Laal Singh Chaddha. It is being made by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Aamir Khan Productions together. It will be directed by Advait Chandan. It is an adaptation of Hollywood film Forrest Gump. We have bought the rights from Paramount and I am playing the lead role of Lal Singh.”

Further specifying, he shared “We have started the prep work on the film. The shoot will start from October. I will be prepping for six months. I have to lose weight. I will be losing 20 kgs. I have to be lean and slim,” Aamir added. “I have always loved ‘Forrest Gump’ as a script. It is a wonderful story about this character. It is a life-affirming story. It is a feel-good film. It is a film for the whole family. It’s a wonderful film so I really like it,” Aamir added.

We are very excited to watch this remake. We are very hopeful that Aamir will do justice to the movie.
