Biopics are the new norm now in B Town. Many of the films based on the life of real time heroes have done well at the box office. Now, we hear another biopic of the late choreographer Saroj Khan. This year we have lost many actors due to Covid and the other issues and one of these include the veteran dancer and choreographer – Saroj Khan. She has been the nightingale of music giants like T-Series. She has been the dance sensation in the B Town and her story of struggle and the gorgeous song she gave to the industry is worth telling the world.
Especially in the eighties and nineties, one can find a number of songs doing well on the silver screen. She has been in the industry for not less than five decades and has worked with all the major stars of B Town and is also responsible for making a few of them into big stars in Tinsel Town. She has remained a popular choreographer and was the first lady to take up this job so successfully, as earlier many of the males were part of this domain.
She started dancing at the age of three and by the time she turned ten she was an ace dancer and at 12 she was the assistant choreographer and she has given 3500 songs in the industry including the top ones including Hawa Hawai, ‘Ek Do Teen’, Dhak Dhak Karne Laga, and ‘Choli Ke Peechey Kya Hai to name a few.
