A Biopic on Bitta – ZInda Shahid to hit the floor soon
Biopics are not the new norms of B Town. These are the best ways of telling stories of our unsung heroes who have a great contribution to our society and nation-building activities. One such person is MS Bitt the All India Anti Terrorist Front leader and the former Indian Youth Congress chief. He lost his leg during the 1992 bombing at Amritsar that killed 13 people but was lucky to get away with his life. However, he has to lose his leg during the attack. He again survived in an attack in Delhi in 1993. This makes him a perfect man for the biopic in B Town.
As per reports, the filmmakers including Priya Gupta and Shailendra Singh will be producing the film on the activist and leader MS Bitta. He remains the patriot right from childhood and started his career in politics in the year 1974 when he was in the eighth standard. He soon became the member of Seva Dal and escalated to the Amritsar district Youth Congress President position. In the year 1980, he hoisted tricolor in Amritsar despite the warnings from the Khalistani militant group of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale.
He was attacked twice for his campaign against the Khalistan movement, however, survived and lived up for the same. This made him get the title – Zinda Shaheed. He always said that he had a bonus life. He believes in making the country strong and that made him go against the Khalistan movement. Now, talking about the film, the star cast is yet to be announced, while the script is on the way. The makers are yet to release any details about the film. The film is likely to hit the screens in 2020.
