A case has been registered against Managing Director of T-Series Bhushan Kumar after a lady claimed that she has been raped by him. According to the reports the lady claimed that the producer promised her of job in one of his upcoming projects. An FIR was filed against Bhushan Kumar at Mumbai’s D N Nagar police station.
“Case registered u/s 376 IPC against Bhushan Kumar, managing director, T-Series, at DN Nagar Police station on allegations of rape with a 30-year-old woman on the pretext of engaging her for a project at the company. Probe underway, no arrests made till now,” a Police source confirmed in a report on ANI.
No arrest has been made yet, although a probe is currently in progress. The case has been filed at Mumbai’s D N Nagar Police Station.
As per the reports, the complainant is a 30-year-old woman, and she claimed that she was abused on the pretext of getting work. Bhushan Kumar, however, has yet to reply to the claims.
Back in 2018 during the #MeToo movement, many Bollywood celebs were accused of sexual harassment. Bhushan Kumar was also accused of sexual harassment by an anonymous Twitter user during that time.
“I am appalled and anguished to know that my name has been dragged in this #MeToo by some anonymous person(s). The allegations against me are bad on the face of it. I have enjoyed an impeccable reputation and have always maintained professionalism. The tweet has been used as a tool to defame me and malign my reputation,” in the earlier case Bhushan Kumar said in a statement to PTI.
