After Mission Mangal, Akshay Kumar and the director Jagan Shakti are planning to once again join hands for the Hindi remake of AR Murugadoss’ action drama Kaththi. Even though the film titled Ikka was already announced a couple of years ago, the project was left behind in cold storage.

Revealing about the team currently reworking on the script, Shakti mentioned, “It (Ikka) will resonate with the underprivileged section of the society. With my second directorial, I want to explore action which is presented in a sleek way.”

The film depicts the story of lookalikes- Kathiresan and Jeevanantham alongside focusing on the suicidal issues of farmers mainly due to corporate encroachment in the agricultural land area.

Last week, Akshay Kumar had also released the poster of his film Bachchan Pandey. The film is scheduled for a 2020 release and marks the 10th collaboration of filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar.
