Just a day ago SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated film RRR has been released. On the day one itself, RRR has achieved a lot of appraisals from the critics and audience. Talking about the box office, in India the film collected Rs 18 crore on the first day. In Telugu states, the film has broken all records and has earned more than Rs 100 crore.
Looking at the current box office trends, the film can easily break the 100cr record soon within a week. However, not just in India, Rajamaouli’s film is also gauging a lot of attention at the International box office. In Australia, the film has collected A$702,480 and in UK the film had collected 2.40 cr.
Jayanti Lal Gada of PEN Studios has bagged the theatrical distribution rights across North India and has also bought worldwide electronic rights for all languages. Pen Marudhar is distributing the film in the North Territory. Interestingly, setting another benchmark, India’s biggest action drama, S.S Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ is the first Indian film to release in Dolby Cinema and 3D format.
The multi-lingual includes a star-studded lineup besides lead actors Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris will be seen in pivotal roles while Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody join in as supporting roles.
