To commemorate its 10th successful season, team Kolkata Knight Riders launched a new initiative in association with owner Juhi Chawla’s Mehta’s new movement Citizens for Tomorrow, #PlantA6 at their home ground Eden Garden. The event saw co-owner Juhi Chawla Mehta plant a few saplings at the iconic stadium’s concourse with the help of her Knights Yusuf Pathan, Chris Lynn & Ankit Rajpoot.
Juhi shares, ‘I’m so thankful to the KKR team & CAB members to allow us to take the first step in making Eden Gardens a complete eco- friendly sustainable zone. We have tied up with SAFE to ensure responsible disposal of all plastic waste at the stadium & under Plant A 6, will be planting a tree for every 6 hit at Eden Gardens during the IPL. Hopefully our small step will inspire the people of Kolkata to also make more responsible choices.’
