Kartik Aaryan has been cast as the lead in director Vivek Agnihotri’s upcoming military drama, Operation Sindoor. The film is an adaptation of Lt. Gen. K. J. S. ‘Tiny’ Dhillon’s book, Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India’s Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan. Developed in collaboration with multiple branches of the Indian Armed Forces, the narrative explores the cross-border strikes launched in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.
Production Details and Current Schedule
The project brings together major industry banners, produced jointly by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Agnihotri’s I Am Buddha Productions.
Agnihotri described the film as a grounded effort to address real-world events through facts, clarity, and cinema rather than artificial sensationalism.
Aaryan is currently shooting for Shimit Amin’s Captain India, a story set against the backdrop of the Houthi conflict in Yemen. The actor is expected to begin filming for Operation Sindoor immediately after wrapping up his current project.
