Finally, Sunny Deol is back on screen alongside Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh in Border 2. The film opens at an army camp but quickly rewinds to focus on the rigorous training of these soldiers. The trio—Varun, Diljit, and Ahan—are winning hearts in their training sequences, balancing the heavy uniform with a lighter, more playful mood. The first 50 minutes impress with a strong mix of action and emotion, as director Anurag Singh ensures Sunny Paaji’s iconic “Dhai Kilo Ka Haath” presence terrifies the enemy. His entrance is high-octane, and his short monologues keep the story grounded.

Sunny Deol’s rallying cry to his men—“We fight for our brothers. We live as brothers, and we bloody die as brothers”—sets the tone, entrusting these young soldiers with the nation’s safety. Border 2 is off to a promising start, and anticipation builds for when these trained warriors hit the battlefield.

Fauji in Fun Mode

The camaraderie and banter among the three leads feel genuine and innocent, perfectly fitting the film’s 60s-70s timeline. This lightheartedness adds warmth before the intensity of war kicks in.

Personal Connections Matter

Anurag Singh takes his time to build the backstories of the three heroes. This deliberate pacing pays off, making their eventual battlefield struggles more impactful because you know who they are beyond their uniforms.

Sunny Deol Surprises
It’s refreshing to see Sunny Deol in a lighter, more playful avatar pranking and showing his family-man side. This unexpected layer adds depth to his character in a war epic.

So, with all said and done, the film with these four men have connected emotionally, making the looming war feel all the more terrifying. The film somewhere sets a strong foundation, and the excitement for what’s next is palpable! Stay tune for more only with us.
