After her exit from Spirit earlier this year and reported differences over fees and working hours on Kalki 2898 AD, she is back in the spotlight for her upcoming projects. Having recently started filming King in Poland alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika is now set to begin shooting for Atlee’s much-anticipated AA22 x A6 with Allu Arjun this October, right after she wraps King.
A recent Mid-Day report has addressed rumors about Deepika’s role being trimmed in the ensemble film. Quoting a source, it clarified, “There is no truth to rumours that Deepika’s screen time has been reduced. Her role remains exactly as it was when she joined the project in June. She plays a fierce character that is crucial to both the first and second acts of the story.”
Deepika Padukone is said to have blocked dates from late October through December for the shoot. The first schedule will introduce her character, followed by large-scale action sequences in November—including a chase scene choreographed by Atlee with a South Korean stunt team. December’s shoot will move to the UAE, where Deepika and Allu Arjun will film pivotal mid-film twists and emotional moments.
The sci-fi action drama reportedly delves into themes of time travel, featuring Allu Arjun in multiple roles. The star-studded ensemble also includes Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur alongside Deepika. With so many leading ladies on board, speculation arose that Deepika’s role might be a cameo. However, insiders firmly deny this, stating,
