9 Years Of Student Of The Year: Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar send ‘Virtual Wala Love’ to Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan
9 years ago Bollywood got three of its most iconic and talented actors Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. As the three of them entered the industry
with filmmaker Karan Johar’s romance drama Student of the Year.
As the film completed 9 years of its release the actors took to their respective social media handles to celebrate the occasion.
Alia shared a selfie with Karan Johar where the duo added Sidharth and Varun via a video call.
She wrote, “There’s something about today.. something really special ? 9 years later we managed to connect and give each other some happy grateful virtual wala love ❤️❤️☀️☀️⭐️⭐️”

The coming-of-age drama film follows the students of a prestigious school whose relationships take a turn for the worse as they compete in a yearly competition. Apart from Alia, Varun and Sidharth the film also starred late actor Rishi Kapoor, Sana Saeed, Ronit Roy, Sahil Anand, Ram Kapoor and Farida Jalal.
Meanwhile, Alia has returned with Karan Johar for his upcoming film Rocky aur Raani Ki Prem Kahani. In the film, she co-stars with Ranveer Singh. After five-years, the filmmaker and producer will make his directorial comeback. Johar’s last film was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which was released in 2016.
While Varun Dhawan’s next film will be Jug Jugg Jeeyo, in which he will co-star with Kiara Advani. He’s also working on Bediyya with Kriti Sanon.
Sidharth, on the other hand, is enjoying the success of his most recent film, Shershaah. He’ll be seen next in Thank Godd and Mission Majnu.
