Avengers Endgame is not a threat to Kalank- ‘There’s enough space for both’, says Varun Dhawan
Movie lovers are eagerly waiting for Karan Johar’s multi-starrer Kalank that is set to be released on 17th of this month. It is releasing just 9 days before another most awaited Hollywood action thriller, Marvel mammoth Avengers: Endgame. With the increase in Hollywood fan following, the movie may pose a threat to the other one. To this Varun Dhawan who is playing lead in Kalank has totally different point of view. He feels that his film will not be affected by the Hollywood launch.
He further expressed that we host great audience. They will go out and watch both the films. There is lot of scope for both the movies. At a special event for Kalank at Ishq 104.8 FM, Varun added, “Our film is coming out nine days before (Avengers), even internationally we are getting a big release. Nine days is a lot for Kalank to be seen and liked by people. These days, if people like a film, it works. So if they like Kalank, it will continue to run. There is enough screen space for both these films to run.” When asked if he is part of the sequel of Stree- a horror comedy. He totally denied it. He clearly told that it is a false rumour and he is not planning to do it.
He is very confident about Kalank, he feels the story, and star cast is everything to their advantage. The Indian as well as the overseas audience is waiting for the movie with open arms. Even we feel both movies are based on different tracks and have their specific target audience. Also, the audience are excited to watch Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha all in one frame.
