Mohammad Samad is an actor who hails from Roorkee, Uttrakhand, India. He was born on 7th May 2000 in Roorkee and was brought up at this place only. He did his schooling from St. Gabriel’s Academy, Roorkee, while is a college dropout. He comes from a middle-class family as his parents run a grocery store in Roorkee, while he is the youngest in his family. He started working as a child actor and was spotted by Nandita Das for her debut directorial film called Firaaq made on Gujarat riots. He played the role of a young boy called Samad in the film in the year 2008.
It was a small role but somewhere helped him to find yet another film called Gattu playing the role called Gattu in it in the year 2012. His work was appreciated as Gattu in the said movie. He was then seen in the Nawazzuddin Siddiqui starrer film Haramkhor playing the role of Mintu. He then was seen in the next film called Tumbbad. His recent film was Chhichhore where he played the teenage son of Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor. He has been the game-changer in the film and his work was appreciated.
He also did the web-based show called Selection Day playing the character called Manju Kumar aired at Netflix. He likes travelling and playing guitar. He is single and not dating anyone as he is focussing on his career at the moment. His career in acting was accidental as he appeared for the audition before the makers of the film Gattu when they had come for finding a boy for the said role. He loves cat and loves to have one at home.
