Anubhav Sinha is a vociferous filmmaker and makes sure to embark upon a film with some social message addressing pertinent issues of the society. His recent Article 15 has mired into controversy since many alleged that he targetted the upper caste Hindus in the name of justice. However, he stood by his stand and kept promoting it. Now, he is busy with his next venture called Thappad, which is a women-centric film.
The movie talks about the women empowerment and he did not reveal anything extra apart from saying so. He said he wants to keep things under wrap at this stage and would share once the time would come. He said that this would be his first female-centric movie and Taapsee Pannu would be the leading actress for the same. He said after working with her in Mulk, he is enamored to work again with the lady.
He called Tapsee to be a powerful actress and comfortable to work with. He then said that both Tapsee and Ayushmann Khurrana remains his favorite actors in B Town. So, when he makes his film based on woman, then the 8th March, which is celebrated as the International Women’s Day in the world is an apt time to release the same. He said this film would be his tribute for the ladies. He went on saying that the film Thappad would be more hard-hitting than his previous movies – Article 15 and Mulk.
