Meet Bauua Singh played by Shah Rukh Khan. He is a short and vertically challenged man of 38-years old. He hails from Meerut and is single. He has a trouble finding a suitable match for obvious reasons. After juggling through different matrimonial agencies, the lady luck allows her to find Aafia Bhinder played by Anushka Sharma, who happens to be a NASA scientist. But she is the victim of with cerebral palsy and she comes in touch with him. At the same time, another lady called Babita played by Katrina Kaif who is a leading female superstar comes close with him. So, its a love triangle kind of story and the short Bauua has to find to the true love, so, will he find his true love, and what goes in it, you have something really interesting to explore in the film.
The film starts with a good pace in the first half; however, the second half loses the pace becoming dull. We see a short man is seen in his own fantasy, while the dialogues of the movie are the real winner here. The script of the Zero can be defined as the best in an old axiom that says being flawed and rot is gorgeous. So, talking about the story, it has flaws in several ways. This includes having a senseless and bizarre kind of the second half. However, it was compensated by the cool cinematography and some stellar performances from the lead actors particularly SRK. The camera has caught some of the best scenes of the filmmaking it worthy to catch.
Talking about performances, Shah Rukh Khan in the role of Bauua Singh has been exceptional. His dialogue delivery, his dance, and the VFX effects that have made him short have done some wonderful work for the film. SRK’s act of this role is merely a blazing showcase of the character. Anushka Sharma too has aced in her performance playing a disabled NASA scientist. Katrina appeared hot as we ever in her limited space in the film. Yet she has impressed the audience in a big way. Similar was the story of other actors like Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub doing a perfect comical role. Also, do not miss the cameos of Alia Bhat, late Sridevi, Juhi Chawla, Deepika Padukone Singh and Karishma Kapoor.
Zero The Last Word
So, with all said and done, the film Zero starring Shah Rukh Khan is interesting to catch. Thanks to the stellar performance of King Khan, which keeps his head high in B Town with another mindblowing performance. You can catch this film for the witty dialogues, stellar performances, stunning photography and many more things.
