Hamshakals Total Box Office collection so far isn’t impressive
For Sajid Khan, Hamshakals was a big reliever in terms of emotional and financial. It was a big hit despite being criticized black and blue from various critics and reviewers. Perhaps the negative publicity about the movie has worked out in the favor of Hamshakals , hence the old Hindi axiom- ‘Badnaam Hue to Kya Naam na Hua’, seems to be working out in the favor of Sajid Khan. Sajid Khan is finally able to recover from his old time disaster Himmatwala, which was one of the biggest mistakes in his career. Looking at the content of the movie, it is nothing but a worse stuff, which somehow trigged the spark and then to fire with negativity. Despite a number of flaws in the movie and rot comedy, Hamshakals seems doing well over the box office.
In no time the movie jumped 50 crore though its pace was a bit slower then Ek Villain, which was basically due to the reason that people wanted a break from it and hence turned out in big for the Mohit Suri movie this week. The weekend figure was 40 crores followed by okay kind of figures, which eventually hit when Ek Villain was released in the movie. In ten days the movie was able to collect 60.50 crore and now seems to be heading to a 65 cr figure. At the end of the 2nd week, the amount, which was discussed to be a good at the start seems to be have become below average. Now the total collection in the domestic market after day 12 is 60.14, while in overseas market it was 12.86, and the total film collection reaches out to be 73.86, which is very much close to Ek Villian 6 day’s collection.
Despite the fact that the movie was released in more than 3700 different screens all over India and abroad but the story of confusion and the mayhem witnessed in the movie seems to hampering the collection at the end of the second week. The three times added comedy is nothing but a tragedy, which the filmmakers would end up realizing sooner or later. Though the movie had a good start, but people like Saif who looked horrible in the comedy would regret soon for taking up such roles in the movie of Sajid Khan. Still the director of the movie has the time to celebrate as he is able to recover from his old time disaster.
