The B Town film – Zero starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif is a two week old movie now. Released on 21st December, the film failed to impress the audience and thus are unable to make the kind of magic the film stars like SRK are able to create at the box office. The film therefore was the film at the end of the first week entered close to 80 crores and the next week with the advent of Simmba the collection of Zero was hampered in a big way. The film was able to only score around 9 crores getting close to 90 crores at the end of the second week.
With moderate figures on the first weekend, the film continued to do similar business and it went on do similar business. As per reports, the 2nd weekend box office collection for Zero tolled to around 88.17 Crores closing to 90 Crores. When Zero hit the screens, it had loads of expectations but unfortunately it failed to impress the audience despite the stellar performances of the lead actors particularly Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. And then came Simmba, which further made things bad to worse. Now, the experts feel that the film has less chances to get the pickup and score more.
Also, the film had decent reviews as that has helped to create a good buzz, however, it was not able to translate into the kind of figures at the box office that the makers expected. Now, the only hope for the makers is to earn from the overseas locations. However, this may take time which can restrict the collection to 100 crores as their lifetime collection.
