Zeishan Quadri is no more an unknown name in Bollywood. Thanks to his incredible performance ein films like Gangs of Wasseypur wherein he played one of the best characters getting early recognition in B Town. He hails from Wasseypur the same place, which the film deals with in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. He was born and brought up in this place in a family of civil engineer in reserved environment. After his junior college, he left his native place to Meerut wherein he did his BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) and then finally moved to New Delhi for his employment wherein he worked in a BPO for around one and half year before he finally decided to shift to Bombay.

His shifting to Mumbai was basically to pursue the career of acting wherein he studied a number of filmmakers studying world cinema including Fateh Akin, Akira Kuosawa and Majid Majidi who all are known filmmakers in crime genre. He then got his chance to work in a crime based film called Revolver Rani, which as directed by Sai Kabir and thus got the chance to work with Kangana Ranaut and Vir Das. However, before that, he got the chance to do the film from Anurag Kashyap called Gangs of Wasseypur 1 & 2, which gave him recognition for his role called Definite. In fact, he was awarded under the categories of best debut actor and supporting actor at award functions like IIFA, Filmfare, TOIFA, etc.

Apart from acting, he is also involved in screenwriting job, which started with the film Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2. As a producer, Prague was his first venture in 2013, which was a non commercial film. He then got the chance to do films like Flames and Akki te Vikki te Nikki. His next venture as a producer and director was Meeruthiya Gangster, which released in September 2015 turning to be an average grocer over the box office. His upcoming movie is Banana wherein he will be playing a negative character. As a screenwriter, Oh Womaniya from Gangs of Wasseypur is a popular one. In fact, as per the recent buzz, he and Anurag Kashyap are collaborating for Gangs of Wasseypur 3.
