Zee5 RejctX Trailer Out: Uncovering All The Misfits

ZEE5 RejctXSeems to be inspired by Gully Boy’s Murad Ahmed, Zee5 RejctX features a group of young folks forming a rap band for their angst expression. Starring Sumeet Vyas, Kubbra Sait, Anisha Victor, Ahmed Masi Wali and Ridhi Khakhar, this web series is set to premiere on July 25.

ZEE5 RejctX web series is a story about all those youth who do not fit in at the right place in the right time which justifies its title spoken as ‘rejects’. The trailer of the web series is out and appears to be slightly inspired by Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy.

Showing similarity to Gully Boy’s Murad Ahmed, RejctX features a group of young people who work toward forming a rap band for expressing their angst. Talk about rap or hip hop, it has always had a history of produced creative outlet with a voice of the disgruntled youth who mainly belong to poor families or marginalized backgrounds.

RejctX apparently brings in a similar kind of story, even though the trailer that was out lately does not have much to reveal on the same apart from how the world perceives the identity of the ‘rejects’ (example a Muslim girl wearing hijab is limited to her religion and sartorial choices).

The voice overs included in the trailer features the actors harping on the injustice and identity crises caused in this uncaring world. Even though, the production appears pretty fine, but the overall the series appears pretentious.
