YRF’s Release Strategy for Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR’s War 2 Unveiled

Advance booking for War 2 began on Saturday, and excitement is building as the August 14 release date approaches. Produced and distributed by Yash Raj Films (YRF), the studio is pulling out all stops to ensure the Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer receives prime showcasing across theaters. According to an exhibition source speaking to Bollywood Hungama, YRF’s distribution team has issued specific instructions to cinemas. Single-screen theaters have been told not to split shows, meaning all available showtimes must be dedicated solely to War 2.

This directive extends to two-screen and three-screen cinemas as well, emphasizing full commitment to the film.Further details reveal that 2-screen cinemas are required to play a minimum of 12 shows, while 3-screen theaters must schedule at least 18 shows daily. For multiplexes, the number of mandatory shows increases with screens:

4-screen multiplexes: 21 shows
5-screen multiplexes: 27 shows
6-screen multiplexes: 30 shows
7-screen multiplexes: 36 shows
8-screen multiplexes: 42 shows
9-screen multiplexes: 48 shows
10+ screen multiplexes: 54 shows daily

Additionally, YRF has instructed all theaters to confirm show timings and ticket pricing with their office before starting advance bookings. Earlier reports by Bollywood Hungama noted that YRF is pushing for mega blockbuster pricing for War 2, with ticket rates expected to be on par with those for Pushpa 2 – The Rule.
