Yashika Aannand is an actress active in South Indian films. She hails from Chennai and was born on 4th August 1999 in Chennai and brought up at this place only. She did her schooling from Sherwood Hall School and Good Sherwood School followed by graduation in Arts from Chennai University. At the age of 14, she got the chance to emerge as a model at Instagram and the same year she got her first film called Inimey Ippadithan released in 2015 alongside Santhanam in a special song. But she was unfortunate to get it as was deleted later.

Later she got the film Kavalai Vendam in 2016 where she played swimming instructor, which turned her first theatrical release. The same year she got the molested girl’s role in Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru film. The film was a big hit at the box office and made her presence felt there. She then got the role of a Hindi teacher in the film called Paadam in the year 2018 and later performed in an item number in Maniyar Kudumbam the same year. However, her biggest role came in an adult sex comedy film called Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu.

She did the film with Vaibhavi Shandilya and Chandrika Ravi, and remained the rare adult comedy in the Tamil film industry. The film did well at the box office. She then did another film called NOTA, while in 2019 she got a few more movies, which include Kazhugu 2, Odavum Mudiyathu Oliyavum Mudiyathu, the Untitled Mahat Raghavendra film, Zombie and Raja Bheema. She also did TV appearing in reality shows like Maya, Bigg Boss Tamil 2 and Jodi Season in Sun and Vijay TV respectively. She was seen in the MeToo allegation when she alleged a leading director for the same.
