We have been hearing about the sequel – Mr. India 2 a lot for the past few months. Now, we have an update about the film as it was announced earlier by Ali Abbas Zafar about its star cast. The film is produced by Zee Studios and Zafar which is based on the Anil Kapoor cult film Mr. India. Earlier we heard that Ranveer Singh was approached to do a role in the film and then the news came that the director of the original film Shekar Kapur expressed his dismay for not consulting him before announcing the sequel.
Now as per the latest, Kind Khan has been approached for the role of Mogambo but sources claim that he has declined the offer. One of the key reasons people close to him feel that he does not want to do any negative role. As per the media reports, Ali Abbas Zafar who happens to be the director has approached Khan for the role in the sequel. Experts feel this is the role that no one even thinks of touching, hence this could be also one of the reasons why SRK has denied playing it.
On the other side, we see Shekhar Kapur tweeting about this film saying that he was not even informed about the sequel before making the announcement. He further alleged that people are doing just to make money, which is not possible seeking permission for the original producer or director of the film. On the other side, the makers – Zee Studio has claimed that the film is not a remake or they are not making the sequel of the same, the fact is they are trying to re-imagine the role for yet another interesting film.
