Wiki – Deeksha Seth is an Indian film actress and model who was born in the year 1991 in Delhi. She was the finalist of the Femina Miss India in the year 2009 that made her acting debut from the Telugu film called Vedam in the year 2010. She hails from North India (Delhi) from a non movies background. Her father works with ITC Limited and was transferred on a frequent basis and thus she and her family has the opportunity of staying at different parts of the country including all the Metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai) apart from the places like UP, Rajasthan and even Kathmandu in Nepal. She did her primary education from Chennai and then headed to Bombay for her higher studies and college. She was also there in Mayo College Girls School in Ajmer. She wanted to become underwater archaeologist, however, later shifted to acting world. She has her elder sister who stays in Bombay and working there.
Bio – As far as Deeksha Seth career is concerned, while doing her college she got the opportunity to participate in Femina Miss India contest. She was spotted by the team in one of her NSS events who then encouraged her for modelling and then head to beauty pageant. She then created her portfolio seeking her friend and father’s help and then contested in the Femina Miss India pageant. Despite lagging behind in her modelling experience, she managed to get at the top ten finalists, which gave her Fresh Face title as well. During one of her modelling assignments based in Hyderabad, she was noticed by a Telugu film director who approached for the role of Pooja in Vedam.
Deeksha Seth played the character of a wealthy girlfriend of the lead character Cable Raju (-played by ALlu Arjun). The director has rejected 70 girls for this character and finally found Deeksha for the role for which she readily agreed on reading the script. The movie Vedam became a big hit giving her loads of applauds from different circles of South Indian Cinema. She was nominated at several places and even bagged few awards for her performance in the movie. This gave her other movies called Mirapakaay and Wanted, which turned out a big hit especially the latter one. This gave her more Telugu movies, which helped her to establish herself as a leading Telugu film actress that eventually also gave her a couple of Tamil movies as well. These include Rajapattai and Vettai Mannan. Finally she made her ways to Bollywood with the movie Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, which would be releasing next month on 20th.
