Will Mere Raho Starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi Be Pushed From April 24 to July Due to Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan?
Sai Pallavi is set for a promising 2026 with her highly anticipated role in the VFX-heavy, star-studded Ramayana, slated for a Diwali release. However, her official Hindi debut will come earlier with Mere Raho, co-starring Junaid Khan. The film is finally expected to release in 2026, but its release date remains uncertain amid industry speculation.
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Until recently, the makers had locked April 24 as the release date for Mere Raho, considering it an ideal time for the film to hit cinemas. But now, reports suggest the release might be pushed to July 2026.”Mid-Day recently reported the possibility of a July release, quoting an insider: “July offers better legroom for a film like Mere Raho. It requires time, repeat value, and controlled screen density.
The summer window allows the film to breathe without the clutter of festive and holiday releases.”The source added, “Aamir Khan Productions has been tight-lipped about the release date. It could still release on April 24, or it might not. Since July is being discussed, many speculate the shift could be due to Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan, which is locked for April 17.
Also, May 1 will see the release of Raja Shivaji and The Devil Wears Prada 2. The makers might be opting for a less crowded window.”Meanwhile, Aamir Khan Productions’ Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos, written and starring Vir Das, will release on January 16. There is hope that the first look teaser of Mere Raho will be attached to its theatrical prints.
Mere Raho is reportedly a remake of the Korean film One Day (2011). The romantic drama was filmed during the picturesque Snow Festival in Sapporo, Japan, promising a visual treat for audiences. Photos of Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi during their Japan schedule, which took place in early 2024, had leaked online. The film’s shooting began in Mumbai in December 2023.
Last year, there were reports that Aamir Khan planned to release the film on Valentine’s Day 2024. However, the release was postponed after Junaid Khan’s debut film Loveyapa was scheduled for February 7. Mere Raho was then slated for December 12, and now it is finally set to arrive in 2026.
