Any idea, well, he wanted this for Katrina Kaif as he thought that with Bharat, Kat would get her third big hit film in her career with him. The reason for this wish was that Katrina had a bad phase getting two flops with the other Khans – Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Thugs of Hindostan with Aamir Khan in 2018. Her back to back films with the named Khans did a bad business at the box office making Salman wish for this desire.

As per the sources close to Salman Khan who also is a good friend of the actor, he said that Salman Khan was worried about Katrina’s career as she got average grossers with the two Khans. Thus to get another average film with him would hamper her credibility in the market. It was Salman Khan only who recommended Katrina to the makers of Bharat as the leading lady when Pee Cee left the film abruptly.
Also, he has been requesting the makers to rope in Katrina opposite him including for Kick 2 and Inshallah. However, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had to reject this idea as the character of the film was written as per Alia, while for Kick 2, Nadiadwala may consider Katrina opposite Salman Khan.
