The nephew of Aamir Khan, Imran Khan, hasn’t been seen on screen in almost ten years. His most recent appearance was alongside co-star Kangana Ranaut in the 2015 film Katti Batti. Actor Imran Khan expressed his opinions regarding his uncle Aamir Khan and his films in an interview with Filmfare. He disclosed that, despite the fact that Aamir Khan’s prosperous career had influenced both his personal and professional lives, he still feels that a small number of his films are problematic and don’t align with contemporary sensibilities.

The Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na actor reflected on his uncle Aamir Khan’s films from the 1990s and offered his thoughts on them during the conversation. Many popular films, such as Raja Hindustani in the 1990s, might not appeal to today’s viewers, according to Imran.

“Some of his 90s films have not held up well, and they are kind of problematic when you look at them through a modern lens,” Imran stated. There are times when it’s really awkward. Even though Raja Hindustani was a huge smash, it is really painful to watch. There are a good number of 90s movies that are unsettling by today’s standards because you look at it and think, “This is wrong; we are not supposed to.”

The actor rightfully criticized a small number of films that did well in theaters in the 1990s but do not have the capacity to appeal to modern audiences. He claimed that a large number of his uncle Aamir Khan’s films from the 1990s fall under this category. He notably cited the case of Raja Hindustani. In addition to Aamir, a number of performers, including Karisma Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Johnny Lever, Farida Jalal, Navneet Nishan, and Mohnish Behl, contributed to the 1996 release of Raja Hindustani, which was directed by Dharmesh Darshan.

The actor also discusses how his own life and decisions have been impacted by his uncle’s way of life and decisions. Imran disclosed how he attempts to approach problems in the same way as Aamir Khan and how he has picked up important tenets from Aamir that are based on honesty and sincerity.

“He leads me tremendously,” he remarked. Every time I find myself in a difficult situation in life, I ask myself, “What would Aamir do?” He has always been motivated by honesty and integrity, even though I may not exactly approach it the same way he does because we have different methods and ideologies. What is ethically acceptable must be your first consideration, followed by the most accurate and genuine approach to tell this tale. “Those are some of the fundamental tenets that I have learned from him and continue to follow,” he stated.

Imran Khan’s films, such as Delhi Belly and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, have also been produced by Aamir Khan’s production company.
