The film Bhuj: The Pride of India starring Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt is back in the news and this time for the star cast. The leading lady was not confirmed when the makers got Ajay and Sanjay Dutt on the board. The makers have now confirmed the leading lady for the film, and she is the Force 2 actress – Sonakshi Sinha. Besides, the actress, the makers also have roped in other actors including Rana Daggubati, Parineeti Chopra and Ammy Virk in the key roles.
The film is based on true incidents, which was witnessed in the 1971 India Pak war. Ajay Devgn has been assigned the character of the Squadron Leader called Vijay Karnik who remained the in charge of the Bhuj airbase in the Indian state of Gujarat during the wartime. The Air Force along with other jawans were seen surviving the bombings from the enemy camp and these were the people who kept the camp running and leading the show.
This war leading to constant bombings deserted the entire town, but thanks to the 200 women from the known village called Madhapar was the one who helped the Indian Air Force. Ajay is playing the role of the Air Force officer, and he has played similar roles earlier. Abhishek Dudhaiya will be directing the film, while Abhishek Dudhaiya, Vajir Singh, Ginny Khanuja, Krishan Kumar, and Bhushan Kumar are the producers of the film.
