The makers of the serial ‘Hamari Bahu Silk’ have been in controversy for the last few days for not giving salary to cast and crew members. Now Chahat Pandey, who was the lead actress of the show in this case, has a big reveal. She says that due to lack of salary, she went so financially that she did not have the money to pay the rent. Her landlord asked him to vacate the house.
‘Had spent all her earnings during the show’
Chahat said in a conversation with the ‘Times of India’, “All the money I had earned from my previous shows was spent at the time of ‘Hamari Bahu Silk’. Whether traveling, eating or renting home, My savings in all of these were gone. At that time I kept demanding my hard earned money from the producers. But they would just say that the channel has not paid them. Things had gone out of my hands. Because I had no money and I was required to pay the rent of the house. “
Chahat continued, “The landlord was not wrong. After all, he also needed money. How long would someone wait for his money? Finally one day he said, give money or vacate the house. I have no choice. I went to the office of one of the producers of the show and started crying. I requested him to give me my money. But he ignored my request and said that he has no money. “
If Chahat is to be believed, eight months after the show closed, things worsened. However, she also added in her statement that there are also good people in the industry. Because they did not have to ask for money for shows like ‘Tenali Rama’, ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Radha Krishna’.
Denied suicide attempted news
Recently, the show’s lead actor Jan Khan had claimed that Chahat had attempted suicide due to financial constraints. The actress denied this claim. According to her, Jaan may have been confused because of his mother’s words.
She says, “One day we were discussing the payment issue on a group call. That day my mother was very angry. She said -” If my daughter did something upside down, who would be responsible? ” I think it caused confusion. But now the water has gone above the head. Everyone’s condition is bad. I don’t want anyone to take such a step.”
The show was launched in June last year
‘Hamari Bahu Silk’ was launched in June last year and stopped its airing in November. In a conversation, the show’s actor Jan Khan had said that the cast and crew members associated with it have not been paid for over a year.
Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon had shared a video of an elderly technician and appealed to the Cine and TV Artists Association (Cinta) to help people associated with the show get their payment. After this, Federation of Western India Cine Employees, Cinta and another association of artists have started talking to the respective producers.
