We get to see some biopics in the recent past that were made including MS Dhoni, Milkha Singh and Pan Singh Tomar, while others are lined up on the actors like Abhinav Bindra, Saina Nehwal and Balbir Singh. Now, we hear that Ranveer Singh to play the biopic titled 83, which showcases the world cup victory of Indian cricket team in the 1993 world cup.
The makers have announced the film in which we get to see the young and talented actor called Ranveer Singh, which has been given nod this year. Kabir Khan will be directing the movie who is also the producer in association with Phantom Films and the Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Reliance Entertainment. The film will showcase the winning squad of 1983, which comprises slew of actors like Mohinder Amarnath, Kirti Azad, Sunil Gavaskar, Roger Binny, Madan Lal and Ravi Shashtri to name a few apart from showing the life of Kapil Dev.
Talking about the film, the filmmaker said that when he thought of making a biopic of Kapil Dev, the name that struck in his mind was none other than Ranveer Singh. He said that he has finalized the script and now moving ahead with it. He said, he remember the 1983 World Cup when he as a schoolboy used to the matches and the final victory has struck like a forever thing for him to remember.
