Abhishek Bachchan’s Dasvi to have an OTT release & NOT theatrical; teaser & release date OUT
Abhishek Bachchan recently shared the teaser of his upcoming film Dasvi. Well, the film was earlier slated to be having a theatrical release but now the film has been pushed to an OTT release.
In this teaser, the actor introduces himself as Ganga Ram Chaudhary, who is in jail and decides to give 10th class board exams from inside the prison.
Sharing this on his Twitter handle, Abhishek wrote, “From one student to another, Dasvi ke exams ke liye dher saari best wishes!#Dasvi streaming from 7th April on @JioCinema & @NetflixIndia.”

Just a few hours before the official announcement. A source close to the developmnt had revealed the release date of the film. A source said, “The film will be released on April 7. It is produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Their last film together, Mimi (2021), was premiered on both Jio Cinema and Netflix. Similarly, Dasvi would also be released on both the streaming giants.”
Apart from Abhishek, the film also stars Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. Directed by Tushar Jalota, the film has been produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Dasvi will be releasing on 7th April on Netflix.
